Hello, my name is Chris Martin, and I played Robert Quincy in the Sheridan tapes. I first got involved with the project when Van Winkle reached out to me, having heard me in another project I was a part of called The Bridge. Actually, I first heard of Van Winkle when they made the most incredible video opening for the bridge

it was so cool and so when they reached out later and said hey I'm working on this project I just need

you to do a few lines as a 911 dispatcher this was in season one and. And I thought, okay, well, yeah, that sounds like fun.

But I didn't think it would go anywhere past that.

It was just, yeah, a few lines here.

We need a dispatch sound.

And thank you for your time.

Then I think starting in maybe season two, they reached out and said, so actually, we'd like to create a character around that dispatcher.

And you'd be a supporting role. You'd come on every now and then, every few episodes.

And at the time, I had a very young child, and I'm also a high school teacher, so I didn't have a whole lot of time.

And it had been years since I had been involved in my last community theater project.

But it actually really helped that most of the actors and producers were either on the West Coast or on Mountain Time.

So most of the recordings that we did were late at night for me.

I typically would go in to record around 9 p.m., which was great because my daughter was already in bed,

and I didn't have to try to find a work around in the schedule to squeeze in recording time.

So I ended up saying yes and I'm so unbelievably glad that I did.

I had no idea what this would become and what it would end up meaning to me.

As a voice actor, it was really gratifying

to see Rob's evolution. He started out as pretty much just a recently unemployed, stay-at-home

supportive, supportive romantic partner for Bill, who really had no idea of what was going on through any of this.

And then zoom ahead to the end of season four, and I'm chucking a baseball bat at a God King.

And it was really cool to see Rob's overall confidence grow, to see Rob step up and take on the role of the strong one that needed to be there sometimes.
