The early on in the investigation, we had kind of grappled with going public about maybe the personal struggle

with my mom was having such as her addiction and stuff like that because really it was kind of a vulnerable thing

of being like, well, we don't want people to dismiss her and just be like, oh, it's just another junkie who's missing or something.

And so we had kind of wrestled with, well, do we put that out there? Do we not?

I hope this resonates with everyone else who's ever loved and addict in their life, but it's the silliest thing where people are like, oh, come on.

They're not coming back from that, but anyone who loves someone like that, there's that hope that they're not too far gone.

And you remember and hold on till the person that they were before that.

Last week we brought you the first installment of Casey Pogue's story.

You learned all about Casey's life, her struggles, and how she disappeared after leaving a hospital in Greenville, South Carolina on July 5th, 2020.

Casey was spotted exiting the facility that evening and speaking to someone in a van.

She even entered the van for a short period of time, but then got out and left the area alone on foot.

Who was that man in the van?

You heard last week that the police were never able to identify him, but Casey's family told us that after she disappeared.

Their suspicions began to shift elsewhere, just someone close to Casey.
