You know, it was so significant to us about the bullet and he said he'd been threatened.

We just thought surely that will make it a different case than just simply an adult male disappearing.

It was always my suspicion that he knew something he wasn't supposed to know or he was trying to get out of something he didn't want to be.

That's just my real strong punch about it.

Or he was going to try to stop some things happening and he had to be stopped.

He was just kind of a character with a real good heart, good sense of humor, who was not going to be defeated by problems in life.

Someone knows something. Someone has talked to someone who's talked to someone.

People have to talk, you know, the human body functions on homeostasis, which is a balance.

When you're lying, when you're keeping those things, that's not a balance. It's uncomfortable.

People want to tell the truth to someone. So someone knows something.

39-year-old Casey Jean Morgan was last seen in Marshall, Texas on August 8, 1997.

He had left his job at Waffle House around 4.30 a.m. that morning and was seen several hours later at a local gas station.

Then he simply vanished.

Casey's truck was later found locked in abandoned on a property that had been previously owned by Casey's family, but both Casey and his gun were nowhere to be found.

The day before he went missing, Casey had confided in both his father and a coworker that he had been threatened by loggers over a property dispute.

This investigation took us on a long journey through dozens of county records trying to find a paper trail that would lead us to what may have happened and why.
