Then we hit the middle of the week.

So we're going to do music fact really quick.

And then I'm going to jump right in, got some announcements, and then some updates, some

very sad updates in two of the cases we're covering.

Real quick, how did Hoody and the blowfish get their name?

They're kind of local for me.

They're from Columbia, South Carolina, and went to the University of South Carolina.

I'm a Clemson fan, but we'll let it slide.

The publicist says the band's name goes back to their college days at USC.

We call it USC here in South Carolina.

Lead singer Derry's record was inspired by the nicknames of two college buddies.

One wore huge round glasses that made him look like an owl.

And the other had big puffy cheeks that make him look like a blowfish.

So one night these two guys go into a campus party where the band was playing and Derry's

record saw them and yelled, look, Hoody and the blowfish, that's the cutest little story

ever.
