Fourth Amendment search and seizure issues, particularly relating to warrantless searches of vehicles.

And so here's an outline of the court's analysis and rationale in reversing the lower court's

decision. Here's what happens, a little bit of the case background. The respondent's car was

towed to a police impound lot

and inspected without a warrant. Evidence from the car's exterior paint samples and tire treads
