On May 24, 2006 Mark Whistler, Steven King, and George Rayburn had run into each other on the eighth day after the disappearance of their mutual friend Rey Rivera. Prior to the 24th, the men had been active in handing out missing person flyers and putting up posters in the downtown Baltimore area. The group decided to check out the parking garage adjacent to the historic Belvedere hotel near where Ray’s vehicle had been found abandoned days earlier. From the top of the seven-level parking structure, Steven and George, looking out onto the roof of the three-floor attachment of the Belvedere Hotel, would see two brown flip flops that would lead them to the discovery of Ray’s body and bring the search for their friend to a tragic close. This case file, join the Theorists as they raise more questions than answers in...The Curious Case of Rey Rivera.
