Within a matter of seconds, the firefighters had pulled on their safety equipment, race to their truck and left the station.

They reached the address five minutes later, arriving at 8.20am.

The split level home sat on a quiet street with a small front yard.

The fire inside was already extinguished, having burnt itself out naturally.
