Summary

#43. Cary St. Onge took an ex-America's Cup training boat - an 80-foot maxi racer called 'Falcon', used for the 'Young America' team leading up to the 2000 AC - and converted it into his ideal notion of a fast cruising boat! Andy chatted with him on Skype from his home in Boulder, Colorado. He's outfitting the boat to sail in the Caribbean 1500 this coming fall, and is offering 10 crew berths onboard for what should be the sail of a lifetime! Check out Falcon in detail on force10sailing.com

ducks for lifelines. They sell lifeline kits, do it yourself lifeline kits or they can make them

0:50.2

for you. We've got ducks lifelines on our boat as well. They do fair leads,

1:00.3

blocks, snatch blocks, boom vangs, all sorts of clever stuff using Dyneema as a technology and with aluminum fittings, anodized aluminum fittings. So super, super slippery stuff that

1:06.5

requires no moving parts for snatch blocks, for example. And it's not, it's kind of high-tech-tech stuff but it's not very expensive it's designed around the cruising sailor and yeah it's great stuff we use all of it on arcturus and also like I said before they do the emergency shroud kits out of coligo ducks you can buy those on 59 dash north.com slash gear if're thinking about going offshore, even if you've got a wire

1:27.9

rig, it's a great thing to have stashed away, won't rust in the bilge, and easy to repair a shroud

if you get caught with a rigging failure offshore. Again, check out caligomorine.com, and if you
