Hi guys, Spaners here. Yesterday, we recorded a long-ranging interview with Matthew Carter,

who was the CEO and team principal of Lotus F1. And if you've been listening to Mr. Apex,

long enough, you'll know that he used to pop in very regularly. Not only had he worked within Formula One

as a team boss, but he was also very connected in motorsport.

And then came the disastrous attempt to host an E-Pri in Vancouver.

Now, I'm delighted personally to have Matthew Carter back in the shed

speaking to us about Formula One because he's always had a great take.

He always says, well, I can't really say

much more on that and then tells us a bunch of stuff. But we had to obviously acknowledge that there's

a lot of residual anger, frustration and confusion about the Vancouver E-Pree. So before we could get

to chatting about Formula One, I asked him if we could get to the bottom of that.

And he did as usual.

He said, well, I can't really say too much because of legal and contractual things.

But then he did go on to say a lot of things, not as much as I know he would have wanted to say and has said to us privately.

So obviously, my main concern, which has kind of been dispelled by having regular

conversations with him and texts and WhatsApp and stuff, was is his mattress stuffed with

cash from ticket sales?

Obviously, I wouldn't want to then have Matthew on if that was the case.

But having spoken to him loads and worked with him a lot here on Miss Depex,

I would have been so surprised if that had been the case,

if it had been like a super villain trying to steal ticket money.

And I wouldn't be speaking to him if I thought he had ripped off punters.
