In the previous part, Bertie's financially challenged friend Bickey was in a dilemma upon hearing

the news that his wealthy uncle, the Duke of Chiswick, was coming to visit, believing him to have

made a success of himself. Things then worsened still after a plan to trick the Duke backfires,

and he withdraws his nephew's allowance, believing he is too much of a success to need it,

meaning Bertie once again was calling after Jeeves for help.

Before we begin tonight's story, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
