Episode 67 with Carrington Bruton
"I’m always pursuing something. I’m never chill. For someone who is inattentive, my brain is hyperactive."
Carrington is an actress, best known for her breakout role as ‘Jill’, on the show ‘Empire’. She is also an influencer, a published author, and the CEO of Temple Face & Body, a clean luxury skincare brand.
Carrington was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder back in October 2020 after a SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) brain imaging at one of the Doc Amen clinics. She describes that whole experience, as well as what it’s been like to look back on her life through this new lens and double-whammy diagnosis.
We discuss her experiences as an actress with ADHD and ASD, and we also talk about entrepreneurialism and relationships and why TikTok has become such a great resource for mental health awareness and advocacy.
