And today we're going to be talking about the 1976 horror

film, Carrie, directed by Brian De Palma and starring Sissy Spaceic, Piper Laurie, and Amy

Irving.

This movie is based on Stephen King's 1974 novel with the same name, and it's about a teenager

who develops telekinesis powers and who is bullied by her classmates.

As a reminder, Brian and I are going to dive into the background of the film.

We'll take a quick break where you hold some music

and then we'll dive into the plots, hit some of the spoilers,

and review the film.

Brian, I'm guessing you've seen this movie a few times?

I think I'd only seen it once before, man.

Oh, wow. Okay.

Yeah, I think it was like 8th or 9th grade.

Wow, and you haven't revisited it since?

I haven't revisited it since.

I didn't like it at the time, so I'm glad we took another look.
