Summary

We're joined this month by John Beecher or "The Cabbie" as some may know him. John isn't usually one for sharing his stories so it was a pleasure to have him on the podcast. We chat about the big Chertsy carp, the Royal plus many of the old Horton Church lake jewels. John has caught loads of big carp, at times using different tactics to most. Many a time using just one rod. Plus we have the pleasure of Jamie Cook from the Angling Trust back on as we discuss the risks of Natural England's seemingly Anti Carp agenda!

0:58.2

And what's more, we've found a few carp, haven't we, turned up in here.

1:01.4

And just going to do that, like we usually do, put a couple of chairs out and do the podcast.

1:06.5

And there's a load of fish that have turned up into a really random corner of the lake.

1:11.6

Mate, don't say a load because you're going to put pressure on us to catch.

1:14.6

A load makes it sound like we can't fail.

1:17.6

Well, we've seen a few. We've seen about seven or eight shows, haven't we, since we've been here, and we've been here an hour.

1:22.6

But interestingly, they're right over a load of deep water.

1:26.6

And when I say deep, it's like 14 to 15 foot.

1:30.8

And there's no reason for them to be here, really.

1:32.9

But they're here.

1:33.7

Yeah, they're here.

1:34.4

And there's oodles of the lake which is really shallow.

1:37.3

And you'd expect them to be there.

1:39.3

But for whatever reason, today, this morning, they're here.
