We're going to jump right into this teaching tonight.

We're going to go back to Luke 14, and I'm going to do something I hardly ever do,

and that is I'm not going to review last night.

I'm just going to pick up where we left off and where I felt like Yahweh begin to stir it in another direction.

But I want, I principally want to say that we are learning that the essential purpose

behind the gathering of the ecclese of the living God, the church, every ecclesiastical

expression must centrally revolve around hosting the presence of the living Christ effectively.

It cannot stay mired in cause-driven paradigms.

Let me explain to you what I mean.

Oftentimes, in order to stir a people toward a degree of fervency,

you have to introduce them to a cause. The problem is causes have shelf lives. I've been a part of giving

probably tens of thousands

of people red life bands for them to pray a 21 word prayer

to help end abortion in America.

You would not have believed the firestorm of momentum

that is created when you introduce people to a cause like that.

However, I run into very few people now who have a red life band on who are still

pregnant, 21 word prayer.

Because not that the cause is invaluable, the opposite is actually true.

It's that it's illegal to cause a company of people to become more passionate about a cause

than they are to become passionate about a relationship.
