Thank you for listening to this message from Damon Thompson Ministries. I've got so much stirring in me I had some things written and prepared for last night

that just kind of evolved throughout the day today as I was spending time with the Lord and over here praying.

And I want to start with this idea of renewal.

I want to start with the idea of renewal because even when I say renewal in an evangelical context or an evangelical crowd,

renewal is not nearly as familiar to us as a revival.

So if I said revival, I believe you know what we were talking about.

However, many people don't come into something like this

because their world's falling apart.

Oftentimes they come into something like this because they're hungry for more.

Or I'm at level two on this journey and I want to be at level 10 on this journey and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get exposure to something that could help invigorate me to the point I could get.

So there are much of the, let me just talk about my early days in

revival. Most of the focus of my early days in revival was about getting lost

people saved, which is a fantastic thing. However, if the focus stays inside of revival solely

about winning the lost, you will ultimately come to an end.

Because the fivefold was not actually designed to win the lost.

What we call the fivefold ministry, which I think there are only four because I think

pasture and teacher fall under one heading which messes up, you know, the sermon about David's

five stones being the five-fold ministry. So anyway, but the purpose of the Apostle Prophet

Evangelist, pastor, teacher is for the equipping of the Saints for the work of

the ministry. So when we see here revival, immediately we begin to think about, you know,

this person got off drugs and this person, you know, was suicidal and this, and all of those things

have happened here and all of those things continue to happen here.
