How many of you believe the prayers we prayed had the impact on the storm?

How many of you believe the prayers we prayed did not have enough of an impact on the storm?

Both of those are true, and it's right to acknowledge both. The prayers we prayed had an

impact on the storm. As it moved across the warmer waters of the Atlantic, went from a category

four storm to a category one storm. It's predicted to possibly make landfall as a high four or low five.

Then they downgraded it to a three, then they

downgraded it to a two, and then as much as they hated to admit it, it became a one.

I honor the Lord for that, but people still lost their lives. And there's still been

catastrophic flooding. So what we do then is we celebrate the breakthrough that we got and we contend to be able to completely cancel it next time.

There's not a part of me that's depressed. We couldn't finish the job. But the part of the breakthrough we got generates its own measure of hope

to say, if we're just learning about these waters of dominion and authority,

and we're just now being seated in the waters of righteousness,

and we were able to have that degree of impact,

then we must continue to contend

to believe. Same thing happened with Matthew. It was supposed to be utter destruction. Instead,

it bumps the coast and goes back out to sea. But I want you and I to set ourselves not to be

okay with a tie.

You know what I mean?

That what we were ultimately assigned to do is to have the measure of the authority of Yeshua present within us that when he said peace be still, he did not cause a storm to diminish.

He caused one to cease.

How do you identify that as a success or a failure?
