Psalm 103 bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless his name. That word bless there literally means to kneel or to bow.

You think of blessing as an action, but it actually blesses him when you get quiet.

Mary's busy about taking care of everything.

Martha's busy about taking care of everything.

Mary's sitting at the feet of Jesus.

Martha comes to Jesus and says,

Lord, don't you think you should tell her to get up and help me?

Jesus says to her, Martha, Martha, you're troubled.

That word troubled means disquieted.

You're troubled about many things.

He uses a word there for disquieted and he uses another word there for anxiety.

You're anxious and you're disquieted and Mary has chosen. This is what

this is literally the way that could be translated.

One thing is necessary, and Mary has discovered what is necessary

to sit at my feet and that cannot be taken from her.
