We want to go to Isaiah 35. Are you there? Isaiah 35. Isaiah 35. I'm going to read this out of two

different translations. I think to start with, I'll read it out of one,

and then I'll come back and probably read it two more times.

It's a short little portion of text.

To be honest with you, I'm embarrassed over my lack of expertise

in the major prophets and minor prophets.

Those are probably two of the areas,

scripturally, where I'm the weakest.

Obviously, the gospels are my focal point, as I think they should be. And then probably

beyond that, the epistles, and then maybe even the early part of the law, even more so than

I am really proficient with the major and minor prophets. But in this understanding of the law even more so than I am really proficient with the major and minor prophets,

but in this understanding of the necessity of the establishment of culture, Yahweh has been

really specifically giving me a witness out of Isaiah. And so we're going to travel down the

Isaiah 35 path a little bit. See if some of this doesn't sound like the culture

Yahweh is enabling us to establish. So listen well this morning. Isaiah 35 verse 1,

even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and

blossom with spring crocuses, which is roses, by the way. Yes, there will be an

abundance of flowers and singing and joy. The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon,

as lovely as Mount Carmel and the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glory, the splendor of our God.
