dreamed of a spontaneity in worship for years and people could not, let me just say it like this,

people could not embrace the measure of trust that was necessary to move into an artistic expression that may not produce excellence.

See what began to happen is we begin to lose creative license when we begin to idolize excellence.

And we wanted to always reveal the finished product

when oftentimes y'alway just wants to release an idea

and it doesn't have to have a chord progression

and everybody doesn't have to know the harmonies

and everybody no it just has to be what he

wants in a moment and what happens is he puts a new measure of his spirit on that

which is helping us redefine excellence. Excellence for me in my life now is obedience, not presentation.

So the Bible talks of a more excellent way.

Doesn't mean the other way wasn't excellent, it means it wasn't excellent enough.

And the more excellent way comes by way of a trust in releasing something that may look

less than excellent to the individual who has not discerned the more excellent way.

And oftentimes when the more excellent shows up, the enemy of it is the excellent way. And so we're continuing to raise up sons that are learning who

Yaway is and as they learn who Yaway is and begin to see him through the

Abbalaans it begins to create more space for

them to be who they're designed to be.

One of the ways that Yaway introduces us to his nature is by allowing us as leaders to entreat our sons the way he entreats us.

See, he has to feel safe with me to be able to be who he's designed to be.
