Isaiah 61, verse 1, the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor.

He has sent me to heal the broken heart and to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prisoners to the opening

of the prison to those who are bound let me say that again the opening of the prison because i wrote

some specific notes on this today the opening of the prison to those who are bound not just the cell

but the whole prison because some of you can get liberty in one area,

but you remain in a prison.

So you're transitioning from one cell to another

without actually coming into a place

where there's no concept of bondage.

Jesus did not pay for this cell to be less difficult than the last cell.

Jesus paid for you to live absent of the idea of a prison.

Verse two, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of the vengeance of our God,

to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion.

verse three, to give them beauty for ashes. Say beauty for ashes. The oil of joy for morning,

the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That's why praise is so important. That's why what we did just a moment ago is not religious calisthenics.

What we did is we exchanged heaviness for a superior reality.

I want to tell you that if you are living in the kingdom under a haze of heaviness,

then you are living with an inferior revelation of what's available.

Because Jesus did not die on the cross for you to get your tail kicked living in a land called heaviness

and then one day enter into the gates of heaven and find out what life is all about.
