But when at last your dreams come true,

life's sweetness will satisfy your soul.

That would be more classically translated, hope-deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

Hope deferred makes a heart sick, but a desire fulfilled becomes a tree of life.

Let's just look at a minute. becomes a tree of life.

Let's just look at a minute, look for a minute at what the tree of life was.

The tree of life was planted in the midst of the garden or paradise of God. The Garden of Eden is referenced three other times

later on in scripture, and it's never

referred to as the Paradise of Adam or the Garden of

Adam. It's always referred to as the Paradise of God or the Garden of God.

And this struck me this morning as Page was singing,

I am my beloved and he is mine.

Come into your garden and take delight in me. The garden was paradise for Adam because it was the abode of God.

Heaven is literally defined as the abode of God.

So therefore, the kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven is really possible in my heart.

That his kingdom would come and his will would be done on earth as it is in heaven

does not seem nearly as far-fetched to me as it probably does to a lot of people.

And I hope it doesn't for you as well. to me as it probably does to a lot of people.

And I hope it doesn't for you as well.

Because I think about the reality of us beginning

to eat from the fulfillment of our desires. Because he said that desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
