a self-described recovering investment banker. She's also a best-selling author. Her new book is

You Will Own Nothing, Your War with a new financial world order and how to fight back.

The United States has been at the center of the global financial universe for about 80 years,

she tells me, but that is changing for a whole lot of reasons, most of which are beyond

any regular person's ability to control.

Yet Carol, who also says that she is a fan of big hair, but small government, isn't one to despair.

Instead, she counsels that we should all proactively do things to control our resources and control our power positions and our wealth.

Her analysis is fascinating. Her individual

prescriptions are even more interesting. Here is the Reason interview with Carol Roth.

Okay, the new book is, You will own nothing. Your war with a new

financial world order and how to fight back. Give me the elevator pitch for you will own nothing.

So when I first saw this meme going around social media, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy

coming out of the World Economic Forum,

a group that is littered with the business and political lead. I thought it probably was taken out

of context or wrong as so many things are on social media. But it took very little digging to say,

no, in fact, they have eight predictions for the world for 2030 that comes from their Global Futures

Council.

And their number one prediction was, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy.

And as somebody who has spent my life advocating for wealth creation opportunities for

everybody, the idea of non-ownership just stands in complete opposition with that.
