Summary

This Wednesday episode begins with the event of the week, the Women’s Open at Carnoustie. Andy and Brendan highlight some of the key tee times and discuss the course setup options that should test the best women’s players in the world. Then they’re on to Liberty National, stumbling through the top 125 players and wondering how the hell some of them got to the postseason given their profiles. The Euro Tour event has a distinct silver medal vibe. The Senior Tour event is really only cause to mention the one time Brendan said something on air that got the Tour to call into Golf Channel. And last but not least is the start of the KFT finals, where the usual mix of familiar names have come down to play for improved status next year on the Tour. The Journeyman of the Week is a Kiwi who did not make the FEC, or the KFT, and will be out there in the woods wandering to try and make his way back.

0:36.4	Really, and welcome to a Wednesday edition of the shotgun start. It is August 18th. Andy, how are we doing?
0:42.9	Friendin! I'm doing great. It's early on a Tuesday. We're getting this recording done. I played golf this morning. It's a great day. It's 80 degrees.
0:54.9	How was the golf? Oh, 80. Good. That's fantastic. I like that.
1:00.4	Oh, that was a good phenomenon. I really impressed myself today. I didn't think I had what I had today.
1:08.9	I didn't know it existed still.
1:11.9	Are you mid-AM qualifying? Is that all gone? Maybe can you do a last minute entry or is that all done? I know it's been going on recently.
1:19.4	Maybe throw your hat in the rain. Try to make it back. Are you too washed up at this point?
1:23.9	It's over. It's something I look forward to hopefully future in life and look back on as a past part of my life.
1:33.4	It's a big week for the mid-AM life, right? Qualifying at the Anderson thing, at the Wayne foot, pick card cup. I got a shout out back at home, Karen Berry, little big, big.
1:43.4	You know, we got to give the cocktail circuit an occasional, you know, dab, especially with no mid-AM last week. I know a lot of those guys are out there qualifying.
1:51.4	Or last year, I should say, canceled because of COVID.
1:54.4	Mid-AM is such a cool tournament. It's every mid-AM's opportunity to compete against a bunch of reinstated pros.
2:05.4	I have a lot. I'm going to hold off. We should pump the rocket bucket, which is going on. It is live right now.
2:12.4	Wild Knights had a few cheeky categories. It is our answer to the Courier Cup. It's not quite as nice as a cup.
2:20.4	It's inaugural first and only rocket bucket. But the prize is, you know, it's not 15 million for first, but it's a full hitting net, turf mats.
2:31.4	It's like the portable driving range. They're top of the line, golf equipment. Second prize is similar, maybe not as top of the line or less balls.
2:39.4	Third is also a full portable driving range. It's a perfect graduated 15 million of a budget. It's a pretty honorable prize, in my opinion.
