Unfortunately, for Royal Caribbean, Labity is right smack in the middle of the area caught up

in civil unrest in Haiti, which makes it very potentially dangerous for visitors.

As a result, the cruise line, a while back they temporarily

halted calls there while they were waiting to see how the situation played out. And now,

it seems as if they've made the decision that they will not be returning there until at least

the end of 2026. In a letter dissent to crew and other impacted employees, which was shared with

us via the cruise radio tip line, the organization said, and I'm quoting, after ongoing evaluation

and monitoring of the situation in Haiti, we have decided to extend the suspension of ship calls

to Labity through December of 2026.

They go on to say that this reflects their desire to prioritize the safety and well-being of both guests and team members, of course.

This wasn't an easy decision for them to make for a lot of reasons, including how many employees will be impacted by this decision.
