1:18.0 | Thank you very much for having me here and share a little bit of the brand history and the future of the brand. Yeah, that's where I want to actually start is just the real the beginning. Like I want to know like what inspired you, what led to the creation of this amazing brand, you know, all the details if you could share those with us. |
1:40.0 | Sure, I'll try to, you know, it's a it's a long story and it's been already almost 12 years or 13 years. I think we're going for the 13 year. |
1:50.0 | Believe it or not, this came as a beautiful surprise in my life. About 12 years ago, I had a problem with my hair. Somebody really messed up my head and at that point my hair was really my kind of security blanket and yeah. |
2:07.0 | And you know how it is when somebody like does a horrible job with the color or the hair cut. Oh, yeah, and your whole life. So lucky for me, I was traveling at the time and I happened to come across what is today be Moroccan treatment. |
2:24.0 | His head says, I'm going to put this product in your head and you're going to see incredible result. I was blown away. The moment he put it on my hair and and that was love at first sight. So I had no intention of creating anything. |
2:42.0 | I simply got inspired by these incredible products. I went back home and immediately with my husband at the time, we started to share it seems to bring it to North America and share it with the rest of the world. I thought it just I had never encountered anything like it and from the fragrance to the results. |
3:04.0 | Even today, you know, I truly think that this is a product that I cannot live without it for my heat. And I hear often that people, you know, it is really one of the most favorite products for, you know, in Oh my gosh. I mean, that's an understatement. I can't live without it. It's such an amazing amazing brand. And I think that every single product that I've, you know, I've encountered I've tried is just everything is so unique and so well crafted. |
3:33.0 | And that's really why, you know, I've been so excited to talk to you because, you know, you've just done such an amazing job with the whole line. And, you know, I want to dive into that more. But I first I want to know, like, you know, others, and I know that the hair care thing like you, you were, you know, had about experience. But what else, like, you know, inspired you to move into hair care, specifically like oil infused. |
3:56.0 | Yes, actually, at the time that my hair was ruined, I had a salon of my own. Don't ask me how I got involved in a salon. But I will answer you. |
4:08.0 | I had a headdresser that was really nice and you know, you create a relationship with your headdresser that's almost as if they are family, brother best friends, whatever. |
4:19.0 | And I was looking for to open a salon in the neighborhood, what I lived at the time in Montreal, Canada. |
4:27.0 | And I thought what a great opportunity. I'm ready to go back to work. And I think it would be fantastic for me, even though I don't know anything about headdressing or a salon business. |
4:38.0 | And I just jumped in and, you know, little I knew that this was for me kind of like the preparation for what was coming. |
4:50.0 | Because what I've learned in this salon has no, not university would have given me the knowledge that I acquired while I was an owner of a salon. |
5:02.0 | And because of that, when we brought the brand to North America, immediately we decided that it would be something that would be distributed through Salons, not immediately a retail product. |
5:16.0 | Really? Why did you choose that avenue? Like, just because of, I mean, I'm just curious, like, why did you want only salons to carry? |
5:26.0 | Because I experienced that in a salon, when I brought it to Canada and I passed it along to some of the headdresses, I realized how blown away they were. |
5:41.0 | The couple of reasons why this product is so amazing for the headdress. |
