and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, Scripture says

it's better to give than receive. And the Christmas time is great time for noticing others, giving gifts,

maybe you'd otherwise not. It's a good time to see people, see them in their story,

and maybe bring a little bit of heaven to earth. But can we take this idea to an extreme at the

expense of our own soul? Can we over-plan, over-extended the point that we're so weary and

worn out when it's all said and done?

We arrive in the next year kind of dead on arrival?

Well, absolutely we can.

So what might godly, healthy soul care look like in this holiday season?

How can we make the most of this season where we really tap into the leadership of the Holy

Spirit, where we see who God wants us to see,

we help who God wants us to help.

You know, Jesus never grind his gears to the point of exhaustion.

He did get weary, and we get weary sometimes, but he knew how to steal away and get some time with the Father.

He put a high priority on rest and reflection and prayer. How can we do that too
