Summary

Career Night is fast approaching at Little Hedgehog's school, and the children cannot wait! There's just one problem--in a remarkable coincidence, nearly all of the Career Night speakers are forced to cancel due to unrelated reasons. It is now up to the students to find replacement speakers to inspire the youths. Little Hedgehog and Bebe set out to find a speaker, but will their efforts be fruitful? This is Ria. Welcome to Little Stories for Tiny People. When I was little, I had no idea that when I grew up, I'd be doing this, telling ridiculous stories in a tiny closet,

0:24.8

I mean studio, complete with a fireplace, a stack of breakable plates, and opinionated spiders

0:33.1

loitering in the uppermost corners. But here we are. It's been a long, meandering journey.

0:41.1

It's impossible to know for sure what you'll end up doing in life, but it's fun, isn't it,

0:48.4

to daydream of what might be. You could end up as a horsefly trainer, a homesteader, a sock darner, a pincushion tester,

0:59.4

a typewriter refurbisher. The possibilities are endless. That's what this story is about.

Let's hear it. It's called Career Night for Little Hedgehog. Take it away, Grayson.

Remember, there are no pictures. You'll have to imagine the pictures in your mind. You can imagine

1:34.3

It was beautifully quiet.

1:37.3

He enjoyed waking early, at dusk, and watching the last of the sun slip behind the hill through the small kitchen window.

1:48.7

Oh, how he savored these silent, blissful minutes before night truly fell.

1:57.1

He closed his eyes and took a sip of his tea.

2:01.4

Hello, dear, Mr. Hedgehog sighed.

2:06.0

Good morning, honey.

2:07.8

His daughter, little Hedgehog, stood very close to him with a triumphant and eager expression on her face.

2:16.7

Much too triumphant and much too eager for this hour, Mr. Hedgehog thought to

2:23.0

himself, up early, I see. I couldn't sleep. In fact, I don't think I slept at all. Mr. Hedgehog was

2:30.2

skeptical this was true, but simply nodded. Nor did I, Mr. Hedgehog.

2:36.3

I did not experience a single REM cycle the entire day.

2:41.2

At the sound of his daughter's best friend's voice, Mr. Hedgehog raised a brow.

2:47.3

Dad, there is another reason we are up early.
