Hey history fans, I'm going to do something a bit different today.

I'm going to share an episode of a new podcast that I've been enjoying.

It's called Car Show and it's hosted by Eddie Ultraman, a longtime editor at Car and

Driver and the chief brand officer at Hurst Autos.

Eddie thinks all cars are great, even the bad ones, but some cars transcend their carness

and have a story to tell.

On Car Show he shares the stories of the vital cars that have changed how we drive and

live, the ones whose significance lies outside the scope of horsepower or miles per gallon.

Now you may be wondering what the heck does this all have to do with World War II?

Well there's a specific car that greatly impacted the war, that is the Jeep.

The Jeep Wrangler was created in the 1940s to serve on the battlefield, gliding into

France on D-Day and slogging through the bulge.

Today you're more likely to find jeeps cruising down the Jersey Shore than on the front lines

of battle, but they still remain true to their military roots.

Eddie talks about how the out-of-date Jeep, one of the most American cars of all time,

manages to still sell so well.
