As we're always joined by my beautiful Bella. Bella, how are you doing? I'm doing all right. How are you? I'm doing okay. July crept by like a tortoise. Trying to walk through sludge. But we're in August now. We finally made it to the dog days of summer.

August is a good month. It is a good month. It is a good month. It's kind of the good. Birthday, we got State Fair. Yeah, that's true. Thank you for helping me to look at the sunny side. Also, it is a lot cooler than it was about two weeks ago. Yeah. And we're not talking about anything that sucks because it is no sucks Saturday. This is the program where

Bella and I just spend some time together and let you listen in on five stories we think

objectively don't suck also this week. It's another round. The August edition of Ask Izzy,

ask a nurse who knows, but first five stories we think do not suck. This one comes locally.

We live in Iowa, Bella. We do. And this is

courtesy of KCCR. That's the local CBS affiliate. A group of men from Sheepgate, that's a Christian-based

addiction recovery program, became unexpected heroes Sunday morning. This was just last Sunday morning

when they rescued a man from a submerged car in a

drainage pond. The incident unfolded as the group was on its way to church on a bus and noticed

the vehicle submerged and upside down. Colton Penning, a sheepgate student said, quote,

our bus driver stopped the bus and allowed us to get off. A group of us went down there and saw

that there was a car

flipped over on its backside underwater. The men acted quickly, unsure of how long the car

had been submerged, or whether the driver was still alive after receiving clearance from a

sheriff's deputy. They managed to flip the car upright initially. There was no sign of life.

Maisie Black, a former Sheepgate student, current

staff member said, quote, there was no pulse, and that's when those prayers started happening.

And the man gasped for air.
