And we begin today in the Western Canadian Port City of Vancouver, where nine people have died,

and many more have been injured after a car driven at high speed plowed into a crowd

attending a Filipino street festival celebrating Lapu Lapu Day.

Police say they arrested the driver at the scene but they're not treating the incident as an act

of terrorism. Vancouver's interim police chief is Steve Rye.

A lone suspect subject mail with one vehicle drove through a crowded community event.

That mail was taken into custody at the scene by the crowd. The crowd immediately called police. We then took custody of the subject

and he is now in our custody of being held. Adairai spoke to Yusuf Vadi. He's partly Filipino

himself and was selling buns from a food truck in the street where the attack happened.

I was at the Lapu Lappur festival inside my food truck, Bowbuns, and at around 8.15, when the event

started wrapping up, there was some last-minute customers, and they were in line.

And I was making their order.

And in the corner of my eye, I saw like a fast-moving vehicle, but it didn't really make sense to me because we were still

busy. The road was still packed with a bunch of people. There was a whole row of food trucks,

all serving people. And before I knew it, the car was driving 100 kilometers down a straight line,

misses every single food truck, every single obstacle other than the people. And he just drives right through all the people.

He goes the entire block, which stretches quite a distance. There's a park and a school on this block.

And he went through the whole thing without crashing his car. There was food trucks on both sides of the

narrow road. He went right through it. And your customers were hit. Were they waiting for their food orders? Yes. In fact, we had to

evacuate and leave the food truck there. On my food truck right now are four buns that I should be
