Hey everyone, welcome to the Council of Trend Podcast.

I'm your host, Catholic Answers Apologist and Speaker, Trent Horn.

And I'm very excited today because we're going to do a debrief of my debate with Ben Watkins

from Real Atheology.

So this is a debate that I took part in a few weeks ago at the first annual capturing

Christianity conference.

This conference is part of the capturing Christianity ministry, but on my Cameron Bertuzzi.

Now Cameron is Protestant and the ministry is focused primarily on defending Christian

Theism in a very intellectual way, I think his motto is exposing the intellectual side of

belief.

But he's actually very friendly to Catholics.

He's actually very interested in Catholicism and learning about it.

And he invited me to come there originally to be a speaker.

I was going to be the only Catholic speaker.

Then the schedule changed up.

I ended up being the debater at the conference.

They wanted to kick off the conference of the debate on the existence of God.

So I debated Ben Watkins.

I was very excited to do that.

And just to break it all down, which I've been doing, whenever I, a lot of times I do a

debate or dialogue, I'll invite someone and we'll kind of break down the subject matter
