Captain Marvel tonight 2019 latest installment in the never-ending Marvel superhero saga I'm your

host A Iran. I'm your host Aeron. And I'm Jim. So we saw this thing. It's written and directed by Anna Bowden and Ryan Fleck, who I have never heard of them before.

Okay.

And it stars Bree Larson as the titular Captain Marvell,

as well as Samuel L. Jackson, reprising his role as Agent Nick Fury, or Fury, just Fury.

And I, okay, I'm going to let you, I'm going to let you take your opinion shot first what did you think of this movie

I think it's a good Marvel movie it's maybe not the best Marvel movie I've seen.

I think it has a lot of messages in there that are good for people who are not me,

which is namely to say

and namely like young women women in general I think there's a lot of good stuff in there to be found for them

I think the only places in which this movie doesn't really work for me are style

but ultimately like I think there's enough substance there to actually make me like it.

Yeah, no, I think this is a very aggressively average

superhero film, which means it's kind of below average by Marvel

standards, and I think they did a lot of things

wrong that's very similar to what DC has done wrong over the years for very I suspect

similar reasons.

And yeah, no, it's so it's an average action hero film.

And there's been tons of average, below average

and shitty action film starring men.

It's okay for women to have just okay average superhero films.
