You know, the capitals have felt kind of stale since they won the Stanley Cup back in 2018.

And we know that with essentially the losses in the first round the last couple of years, JJ.

But defensively in free agency, now the dust have settled.

We saw them lose some guys clearly in Travis Boyd, Radco Gutas, you know,

Brayn-Holpey, obviously, but they made some moves as well. And one of the big things that you

mentioned was that they have to address things on the defensive side. And they did. And this team

is going to look a little bit different moving forward now. It's going to look very different.

One thing that I've noticed about

Brian McClellan is we all work out our little projections and we all say, all right, this is how

much money they have, this is how many players they can get. And he always seems to get one or two

more than you expect. Even when you're, even when they sign a guy and you go, okay, now they have no

money. And then all the these

signies keep trickling in you're going whoa whoa I didn't expect this at all like I I remember distinctly

I was writing about free agent targets for the capitals I got to Justin Schultz I typed in his name

and then I was like they can't afford him just deleted it and moved on and he turned

out to be one of their big gets in free agency so you know Brian McLaughlin he's always aggressive

with when he sees something that he needs to change so and the caps are better for it
