down 3-0 in the first round series against the New York Islanders after a disappointing

2-1 overtime loss.

There are now just one game win away from elimination.

I can't believe we're here. It really is like it's just, it's just all have one big laugh about it.

I mean, it's honestly what it is. Like, look, you look at this and we go back to, I think of last year and I think of them losing the first round last year and you go, okay,

you know what, you want a Stanley Cup the year before. This is a letdown. It's Reardon's first year. They've now lost five straight playoff games. They've looked really bad in the postseason

under Reardon for the most part of this. And it's just really frustrating to watch this team

continue to play so

inconsistently. It was really frustrating, especially in that first period. That was one of the

worst periods they've played in this postseason. And for a team that was down two to nothing,

you expected some kind of a response. Now they rallied and enforced overtime. But if that's the

response, if that's the pushback

the caps have, then, then I mean, it's hard to see them coming back in this series, even for a game

four win. It was certainly a nail biter and Matt Barzal just crushed some dreams tonight with
