Alan good morning to you.

Hey good morning guys. Hey man. So the caps are six one and one in their last

eight games. They're climbing up the metro standings. What is the biggest

reason in your opinion for this turnaround?

Well I think the biggest thing is there is so much change with how they're playing the game that it takes a while

you know a lot of guys are setting their ways they have the same flight patterns you know year after year and he's been forcing them to change not necessarily forcing he's been you know coaching the players to play new system and the new system is about

skating in a five-man swarm all over the ice in the neutral zone they changed it up

you know the area between the blue lines and they don't have the park and trying to be

creative I think at the start of the year the players were a little confused with

what to do with the pocket in the offensive zone and there was a lot of you

know giveaways that aren't necessarily marked on the official score sheet of giveaways but as

the coaching staff would be giveaway so they've been better with the puck when they

have it and it's just been a work in progress and I think one of the biggest things

is it's been in those eight

six one and one in that time frame they've had those eight games they haven't

been scored a power play goal against and they were getting torched

early and you know using young players on the fly and I think

it's just a matter of everyone just becoming acclimated the systems and the

roles and how things have changed and I and the players love the coaching staff so you know that you just it all

goes hand in hand and it you know it takes a while to change players habits.
