0:38.9

Just my lead-off thought on this hour about the the bees is the state of the capitals, really,

0:45.2

and how you've got them health-wise, this thing has swung really in your favor.

0:48.6

And maybe it'll swing back at some point.

0:51.6

It's hard to tell what's going on with the caps because Lovilat's really tight-lipped and it's hard to know exactly where their players stand because there's some COVID things and there's some, well, of course, all injuries are undisclosed at this time.

1:01.7

But you just look at it and the caps this last game were down to two centers.

1:06.5

When Lars Eller went out in the middle of that game, they were down to two centers and they they had to move OSHA over to center, who's a natural winger. Lars Eller is an important guy for them. He's like their top defensive center, and he usually goes against Bergeron or Creachy, and he's one of those guys that plays well against those top two lines. He's a big factor in that. So Cutsnets off was one of their more skilled players, has been out all series because of COVID. So without Eller, without Kuznets off, they're down to two real centers, Baxter and the fourth line guy, I think it's Dowd, and then Oshie moves over. And so they're really depleted down the middle where you're strong, Bergeron-Krati coil. So that's a big advantage for you. Now, Lars Eller skated this morning. I guess he's going to play. They don't know. Kutznetsov made the trip with Washington. So maybe he's coming back. Again, it's a COVID thing with Kutzenetzov. So that's a big swing there. If Kuznetsov and Eller are in the lineup, now they got their full spine down the middle. Yeah, they're closer to them at their best. And that's a way different team than what you saw at the end of the game in game two, where there's no Ler, no Kutsnets off, and Ochi has to move over to center. O'She's also battling an injury. He missed the morning skate.

3:10.7

So there's some question about whether O'She's going to be in there or not. He's been on and off the ice in these first two games as well. So that's sort of like health-wise, you're healthier. That's a big factor in some of these series. Never mind their goaltender situation. Obviously, with Craig Anderson, their fourth guy being in here the last couple of games. Now, Sam Sondhoff did make the trip as well. He was another COVID guy. I guess those guys are now off the COVID list. I don't know. The reporting's all over the place. I can't nail it down. That's why I couldn't make heads or tails of this this morning. And that's why I was looking into the fact that they brought up a couple of kids on the defense from, you know, their minor league team. And so are these kids going to play? Like, I don't know. So Vanek checks obviously out. He tapped out in the middle of the first game. He's not going to be back. Samsonov's traveled with the team. so is he ready to come back? And if he is, he hasn't played in a while. Would you rather just go with Anderson?

3:24.5

What's their situation in net? Never mind their situation at center. And so you should take advantage of this. Hell yes. Yeah, look, and with the COVID guys sometimes, I don't know what the protocols are in the NHL, but don't you have to pass two tests within it home?

3:40.7

Well, so maybe that's why they're monkeying around, too, the capitals. Maybe there's a second test that has to be passed or whatever. I just think they're doing the usual upper body, lower body. We're not telling you who's playing until you need to know. And they might be. But yes, the answer is yes. Look, you're coming home now. I know that that doesn't in and of itself mean anything,
