0:00.0	Today's video will be in two parts and in the first part I want to talk a little bit about the Canon G5X.
0:05.5	This is a camera that I did a full review on a few months ago and since then I've had the opportunity to use this camera fairly extensively
0:11.9	and I want to do a follow-up on that, talk about some of the things that I really like.
0:16.0	The second part of this video is a vlog that I shot last weekend with my friend Eric Rossi.
0:20.0	We were at Coney Island in New York and we spent the day out there. The entire thing was filmed on the
0:25.3	Canon G5X so you can see what some of the footage looks like. So before I get to that I want to talk a little
0:30.4	bit about the camera and do a follow-up. I will put a link in the show
0:33.4	description to the original review if you want to see what all the
0:36.2	specifications are. Since I've had the chance to use this it really has become my main
0:41.1	camera for vlog style stuff for run and gun footage anytime I need a
0:45.1	camera where I can switch back and forth easily between stills and video but I need something
0:49.4	small. This last trip I did to New York last week this was the only camera that I took with me and it was great.
0:55.0	And so there's some things that I really like about it. First thing I want to address though are these fuzzy things that are on the top because everybody always asked me about them.
1:02.0	Essentially, if you've ever shot video with a point and shoot outdoors, the Rycoat and it's called the Rykeote Wind Jammer and basically you use these
1:13.7	included stickers and you place these over the microphones and they cut down on the
1:17.3	wind noise. They do make the camera look really weird and really goofy and it's
1:21.2	kind of a goofy design already but they work and they get the job done and it's kind of a goofy design already, but they work and they get the job done and it's really important.
1:25.4	I'm going to mention a few things that I really like about this camera and this really has become kind of my go
1:31.2	to for that style of shooting and I get asked a lot, you know, what do you think of this as a vlog camera?
1:36.0	I think it's incredible as a vlog camera.
1:38.0	First, I'll start with the audio itself.
1:40.0	So in the first video that I did, one of the complaints that I had is that you do have a hot shoe but no microphone input.
