1:11.3	Hi, Megan. I'm pretty sure you know that this case has been on my list since we started the podcast. You and James actually made a joke that the name of this family is always on the episode list, but it just always got moved down and got moved down. It's been on the list for five years.
1:17.5	It has been. Actually, it happened. This event happened about a year before we even release our first women in crime episode. Wow. So it has always been on my radar. The trial keeps getting delayed.
1:24.2	Of course, COVID was one of the main drivers of the delays in this case, but what I consider
1:28.7	really interesting is a lot of reports say that the delays are due to what they call a dump
1:34.7	truck of evidence to go through. Oh, okay. And we'll talk a little bit about some of that
1:40.4	evidence. Is this case local to you? Is that why it was on your radar? Yes, this case is very
1:45.7	local to me. In fact, I was able to see some of the aftermath from my home. It's about three miles away.
1:51.8	Oh, okay. Understood. And, you know, friends of friends, no people. You know, it's a town next door.
1:57.5	Right. I saw emergency vehicles and some of the other aftermath. So we'll get there,
2:02.7	but for now, let's meet the family who's at the center of today's case. The Canero family was comprised
2:08.2	of Keith and Jennifer Canero and their two children, 11-year-old Jesse and 8-year-old Sophia.
2:14.6	While Jennifer grew up in Staten Island and went to Albany University, her husband Keith
2:19.5	immigrated to New York from Spain with his family when he was a young boy. His parents raised him and
2:24.9	his older brother, Paul, who was only about a year older, and a younger brother, Corey, who was about
