Summary

Rachael and Caitlin are back and still unsure how to pronounce the word "Oregon!" On this week's episode the girls give a recap of their live NYC event as well as the trek home to CA, talk all about the weird things they used to fake as kids (braces and casts and a nicotine addiction and immigrating to Ellis Island in the 1890s), Caitlin's wild choice to wear jeans on a plane, and Rachael being featured in a "viral" video!  They also touch down on 90s needle paranoia, give Taylor Swift some tough feedback, and debate whether or not older kids should be allowed at the playground.  Rachael's birthday is this week, so for her SPECIAL BIRTHDAY EPISODE we want you guys to send in your best secrets, that we'll read out loud!!! We'll keep everything anonymous, change, names, etc. Give us your best secret (or someone else's that you know) and let's give Rach the best birthday ever! To send in your secret email Caitlin@wilderbeginnings.com or DM her with the subject "SECRET" 🤐 Thank you again to our amazing event sponsors - we couldn't have done it without you guys!!  Please don't forget to rate, review (5 stars and glowing accolades) plus FOLLOW the pod here and subscribe to us on YouTube! (where we share extended and unedited video eps!) Follow the Pod for Weekly Clips! Caitlin's Instagram Rachael's Instagram Learn more about your ad choices. Hi, Rachel. Hi, Caitlin.

0:25.8

We shouldn't really even being saying hi, because we've been in communication for the last 53 minutes trying to get this podcast recording started.

0:35.0

You know, you would think that it's just plug in a microphone, open up and

0:40.4

get, and there you go. If only it, if only it were that simple. If only, we were in Riverside.

0:46.2

We went to Zoom. We went back to Riverside. We went to Alito. We came back to Riverside. Now you're

0:50.9

on a different computer in a different part of your house. Coming to you live from a kitchen, by the way, part of the problem is that there's something going on with my computer,

0:59.3

clearly, which we just kind of came to the conclusion of. And so because I thought that there was

1:05.2

something wrong with my microphone system, I bought a new microphone. This is my first time using said

1:09.4

microphone. So I have zero idea how this sounds. Also, I'm in my kitchen, which there's a huge echo in here. So the sound quality this week, you guys, might not be top tier. And we apologize. You know, I don't think anybody's coming here for top tier anything except for gaping and yapping and giggling. And that we can provide no matter what we can deliver

1:29.4

on. We can deliver on that. Okay, so should we start with Just, I know we did a recap episode last week

1:35.2

of our New York trip, which if anybody hasn't listened to that, it is one of our best. It's so good.

1:40.6

The energy when we are in the same, not only room, but bed, is palpable.

1:47.3

It was such a fun, silly episode and we talked all about being in New York and going to watch

1:52.7

what happens live. So for our Bravo girlies and gays, you guys will love that one.

1:57.2

To jump in because we talked about something about Oregon, the Oregon Trail,

2:03.5

and we've had a lot of feedback about how Rachel pronounced the word organ.

2:10.0

Okay, by the way, she's talking about the state of Oregon, not the organs in your body,

2:14.9

like your stomach and your heart and your liver.

2:16.9

Correct.

2:18.7

So Rachel and I are both mispronouncing the word. We are. Well, you definitely are. Well, you definitely are. I definitely am.

2:27.7

So what's the correct pronunciation? Or wait, you say, say it again? I say Oregon. Oregon. No. It's Oregon. Oregon. Oregon.

2:37.0

So again, the problem is... Maybe that's how I say it, Oregon.
