I want to know

what prompted you to write this book. Was it possibly that someone tried to cancel you? I know it

has definitely happened to me. That didn't actually happen, Sean, until after I wrote the book.

It's been an interesting byproduct. So that was not happening before to me, but I guess it was inevitable. Once you point out

the laser beam, yeah, well, once you point the laser beam out to the mob, they're going to come

after you for sure. So maybe we can start out with defining what is cancel culture, because some

people are confused about what it is and how it works. Yeah, absolutely. And to answer the first part

of your question, you know, why I wrote it. I wrote it because I've seen firsthand working with

people who've been victims of cancel culture, how their lives, their careers, their livelihoods

are just destroyed by these mobs. And after seeing it and seeing what the impact was,

I wanted to do something about it. So my hope is that this book is going to strike a blow

against cancel culture to educate people about what cancel culture is, what it isn't,

to define it for the first time, because in order to defeat it, we first have to

define it. And my hope is that this book will be one small piece of ultimately moving the country

away from this phenomenon. Now, the question of how do we define it? It's quite simple. I put in the

book the definition of cancel culture as use of intimidation by a morally

absolute coalition to isolate and disproportionately punish an alleged transgressor.

And the first being the primary word there, right? Because there's a lot of false accusations.

Tons of false accusations. And when you, you know, when we do a deep dive into the actual elements of cancel culture, you see that oftentimes these are predicated upon either complete falsehoods or there's a moment in time that's taken
