at the bottom of this hour. I'm going to take a few minutes and propose a difficult topic to navigate.

And a friend of the program Bob Vanderplats has a piece up today for the blaze about the

looming marriage vote in the United States Senate. And we have and I think rightfully so

had a lot of conversations on this program in recent years about cults about group think about

there's there's nothing new. No objective piece of data that you could present that would change

blankety blanks mind. There's no standard there. There's just conforming. There's just group

and identity belonging. There's nothing transcendent there at all. It's just nihilistic.

You guys have heard me say before that I think the greatest theological work in all of human history

is Paul's letter in Romans in the New Testament. It is the first laying out

of a systematic Christian theology every chapter from the very beginning. It goes through the

history of the Jewish people in the in the Old Testament, how that relates to the New Testament.

It eviscerates arguments and challenges to Christianity that in some cases are decades if not

centuries away from manifesting themselves. Even today the years were coming to the fourth

quarter of 2022. That work was written nearly 2000 years ago probably some time in around

50 or 60 AD is when Paul wrote that maybe even earlier.
