Welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you are ready for your day and if not I hope the

morning mindset can help you get ready for your day. We are looking at Psalm chapter 145 today, so if you're able

to take out a Bible, I would love for you to get it out and let's take a look at this

together. If you're driving or on the treadmill or in some other situation,

when you cannot take out a Bible, just listen closely.

Try and get into an undistracted state as much as possible so that you can really focus on what

the scripture is saying today.

We've been looking at Psalm 145 and I've been kind of lingering in this chapter because there is so much here that is helpful to us as we're setting our mind for the day.

Let's look at verse number 10 today and this is a prayer where David is speaking to the Lord. He says, all your works

shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your Saints shall bless you. Let's stop

right there for a moment. He's saying all your works shall give you. Let's stop right there for a moment. He's saying all your work

shall give thanks to you. Wow that is a pretty comprehensive statement. And what

does he really mean?

They don't speak. They don't really have a will. How can they give thanks to the

Lord? Galaxies? The universe itself? Contrary to what our culture tends to speak about the

universe does not have a will of its own so how can it give thanks to the Lord?

Well I believe what David is saying is that the things that God has made by

being what they are and by functioning in the way that God has designed them to function, give thanks to him in a sense.

They give glory to him.

Simply by being, you look at a tree in the intricate way in which it's made to use oxygen and sunlight

to use the nutrients in the soil to produce
