Summary
Ian Hunt joins Iwan Roberts and Sam Vokes to review the opening weekend and preview the start of the Championship season. A youthful Cardiff City side made a winning start to their League One campaign as they beat Peterborough United at home 2-1 with both goals coming from academy products. Newport County drew 1-1 at home to Notts County in their League Two opener in a match which was delayed for an hour due to a medical emergency at the ground. Wrexham and Swansea City kick off their Championship campaigns this weekend. It's been a busy week for Wrexham who've completed the signings of England centre-back Conor Coady and Wales striker Kieffer Moore ahead of their opener away to Southampton. Meanwhile, Swansea travel to Middlesbrough as Alan Sheehan begins his first full season as head coach.

| 0:54.0 | This is Ian Hunt. And these are you and Roberts and Sam Vokes. Two Legends of the Six-yard Box. How are we doing this week, guys? Very well, yeah, not too bad, Hunty. How are you, big fella? Good evening, guys. Legends of the Six-yard Box, eh? Yeah, tend not to hang out further than that, really, use her? |
| 1:11.5 | Go with 18, should we? 18 yards. Yeah. Big Sam was a legend of the mosh pit on, on the weekend when I saw him at Oasis. I was, well, I was in a six-yard box at Wembley, mate. That's where I was doing my business on Sunday evening. Just explain, Sam, what this is all about you. |
| 1:29.6 | You didn't go to Gillingham's game at Akrington because you're recovering from the broken arm still, so you're excused from attending their first match, but on the Sunday you went to, went at Wembley Way for a very different reason. I did walk up Wembley Way, yeah. I had tickets for Oasis, and I did see it, guys, and it was an amazing, amazing night, I must say. I've been asked many times, my favourite, I can't even name you a favorite track. It was just, honestly, from first to the last track, it was just immense. It was as good as you thought it would be, yeah. Bucketlist tick. It was one of those moments, yeah. And see, he spent an absolute fortune on merchandise. He was covered from head to toe. He had a bucket list. He had a bucket oasis hat on. Yeah, I went full throttle, mate. I had the lot on. Did you come out with a Manchester accent as well accent as well. I did, I was doing a walk back down Wembley Way afterwards. He was doing the Ponsnall and everything. You've got to embrace it, you, isn't you? Absolutely, absolutely. We're all jealous that you've got tickets for that, Sam. I mean, brilliant, fantastic weekend. As I say, Gillingham, 1-1. |
| 2:34.8 | Obviously, your broken arm. You'll be back in a few weeks. I know you talked about it last week. By the way, Ewan, I'm going to have to have a swear jar this week. You just reminded me of something, right? Every time you use the words, Big Sam or Big Man. All right. Okay. I'm going to have a swear bear jar, okay? you're gonna have to put a pound |
| 2:51.7 | you're gonna have to give me a virtual pound |
| 2:54.0 | and put it in the virtual. Sam or Big Man. I'm going to have a swear air jar, okay. So I can't say that. |
