Let me read you an email from way back and this surprise is literally an inside joke for the producers.

From one Shay Serrano, Clinton, I'm working on a basketball book right now.

This is my second proper book.

The first book, The Rap Year book,

had a thing in there in which at the end of each chapter,

I had a short blurb from someone whose opinion I respected. Each person wrote a tiny amount about a

song that they thought was important and so I just had them in there as a way to

break up the book a little bit so it wasn't all just me me me I wanted to do something philosophically similar with the

basketball book that's why you got this email right now now wait okay here we go Here's the other part that is the most unfortunate part about all of it, which is that the next email says,

hey dude, I was sorting through the final pieces of the book today. I kept trying to find a way to squeeze your blurb in, but she turned it in late, so it's not going to be in the book.

Yeah.

I thought I had missed my star turn in being in your book.

I wrote about Rod Strickland and Vinny Del Negro being in Blue Tank's Triumph.

But alas, here we are talking together right now. I never will forget how bad

and how stupid I felt for botching that because you are now a big-time author and I'm

just a clown who yells on microphone. You should have turned it in time.
