I was walking my dog and we did take a couple wrong terms to get here.

So my name is Jay Huelings. I'm a candidate for Congress in Texas. Texas 23 which is a big

district that stretches from San Antonio all the way to El Paso with a huge chunk of the border, the U.S. Mexico border.

And I've been in this race about two months.

Before that I was a federal prosecutor in San Antonio and Del Rio,

which is a little town on the river, on the border.

And before that I was a staffer on Capitol Hill, I worked on the House Intelligence Committee staff,

I was a council.

And before that I worked for Congresswoman Jane Harmon of California doing, it was her legislative director director basically her lead policy advisor.

So you're running around America talking to people about this race in 2018 which is a pretty

important one to say the least right we think

so yeah well it's it is one of the top targets in the country for for a variety of reasons

that you're in yes Yes, got it.

And partly it's because Hillary Clinton won this district by four points, but it's held by a Republican

who narrowly won it.
