Well, good morning, everyone. This is Father Chris. I am coming to you. We are live today from the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy here. A beautiful day and so many people, we have a full shrine. It's great to have you with us. This is a topic that I didn't think was that detailed.

And since I mentioned it in a couple of homilies and a couple talks,

confused people. So I announced that we would be doing a talk today on can we as Catholics go to

weddings where baptized Catholics are getting married outside the church, at the beach. Our friends are getting married at the civil, at the justice of the peace.

I thought it was a pretty straightforward answer.

And I've never really realized how deep this answer. I'm super glad I did this, and my

email box has been flooded with people with calling and questioning. And so I'm trying to get back to

all of you. I hope that I will be able to answer most of those questions here today. And so let us

Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, we ask that you send the Holy Spirit down upon us,

that we may be able to receive your grace and follow your will that is given to us through the church, that we may be faithful

Can Catholics attend non-Catholic weddings? If they are not Catholic, absolutely.

It's really weird because you can go to any other wedding at a justice of the peace, at a synagogue, wherever you want to go if they aren't baptized Catholics.
