I am Ben McKee joined by West Rucker here on a Monday afternoon to discuss and react

to Tennessee Baseball's series loss to Georgia over the weekend things did not go

according to plan for Tony Vitello and the Diamond Falls. In Athens they win

game one on Friday night pretty convincingly 12 to 3 the offense got going

late Camden Sewell was awesome out of the bullpen along with some others and then

Saturday turns into a 3 to 1 loss which then turns into

Tennessee playing in its first rubber match of the season which is pretty

spectacular that there's three weekends left to play and they're playing in their first

rubber match of the year and that rubber match did not go according to playing whatsoever Tennessee loses nine to 4 in the series finale on

Sunday to drop a series Tennessee sees its nine-game winning streak come to an end

it's seven-game SEC winning streak come to an end. It's the

the first series lost in three weeks for Tennessee. So West will kind of go big picture and let it lead into smaller conversations.

But overall, I'll be honest with you.

I'm not as down on Tennessee after the weekend as I

I think that I would have been if you told me before the weekend that Tennessee was going to lose this series.

Obviously it's disappointing. It's not the result that you want.

No such thing as participation trophies, but this series loss feels different than the other series loss especially the

ones on the road earlier the season to me a little bit to me Ben I still think the series in Baton Rouge, I think, considering the caliber of

opponent, I think they played better baseball that weekend overall. You know, I don't think they were terrible.

I do think anytime you lose to a team that you have more talent then, that is going to be a frustrating thing, especially when that team has injuries.
