Every game, every night. It's Locked-on NBA Game Night, tipping off now. Thank you for tuning in Locked-on NBA Game Night where it's every game, every night. I'm Hayes, one of the host of Locked-on Bulls. I'm joined as I am every Friday night by Swiper, one of those locked- on nuggets. And while we don't have a game tonight, Swiper, we do have a game seven coming up tomorrow night that we do get to talk about the Spurs. How much of a chance are you give them to win game seven on the road against the OKC Thunder? This Spurs are a very young team that have had their own kind of ups and downs over this playoff, but to their credit, they've really answered almost every test that have popped up to them in one way or another. How are you feeling about the Spurs chances tomorrow night?

1:19.2

Yeah, it's going to be contingent. A lot of the games that they've started off really well,

1:23.2

and they played just absolute dominant defense, but as their shooting has also eight at them. They were eight of 14 in the first quarter from three yesterday. And Wimby hit three of those threes. You know, when they're able to find like real, you know, real momentum and when Wimby, they would hit those over the top shots? You know, shout out to Nick Wright and first things first. They actually shared a graphic the other day. When Wimby hits three or more threes, he's averaging going into last night about 32 points a game. When he doesn't, it's around like 23. And no, obviously like, you know, shot, you know, variance and your three point shooting, all that stuff, it's going to play a large part in overall effectiveness. And Wimby in particular, because he's not the best two-point score yet, he still hasn't developed like a true scoring package. And even with that, he's still been in a very good score in this playoff so far. So that just kind of tells you where he's going to be as he gets older. Knowing Wimby is able to hit three-pointers, it changes just the structure of how O KC has to guard him.

Now, the paint is still very congested because OKC after game one, they said that we're not going to allow him to rack up, you know, 20, 15 paint touches because we don't have the defenders as good as we are to constantly and consistently keep him away from the rim. And so even when they're running a pick and roll with him, they're squeezing on the roll and basically just putting hands up in the ball and their space. And it's also saying you're not going to get a free alleyup here. And I'd say a Hartstein, Chet Horam actually had a really good breakup yesterday as well. But, you know, they're young. Stefan Castle, super young. Stefan Castle, you know, in the first two games of the series, he was a turnover machine. He had 20 turnovers in the first two games. And obviously, no DeGaron Fox. He was just trying to find out like, okay, like I have a job to do. I have to be the lead playmaker. I got to make all the decisions. So him turning the ball or wasn't all on him, but obviously was having a negative effect on the team. Well, look, the last four games, he's averaging 17 points with seven assists. And he's shooting 33% from three, 45% from the field, but he has a 63 true shooting. Could he get into the line consistently.

3:25.2

But on a turnover front, he only had six turnovers.

3:28.6

So again, last four games, 28 assists to six turnovers.

3:32.4

And yesterday in particular, this is another one of those games for Stefan

3:35.8

Castle had a great day.

3:37.4

Now, you know, a lot of this with him is just like that explosion on the offensive end, you know, he was doing great Euro steps into the paint, finished with 17 points, had nine assists yesterday with five rebounds. You know, I said on Twitter the other day and I said on a couple other shows, he is my, he's like the next gen Russell Westbrook to me, meaning he could score, he can pass, he can rebound, and he can defend. And when he's able to do what he does, passing and playmaking and scoring, and he's not turning the ball over. And then on top of that, Deerrin Fox, you know, not having a good shooting game, playing good defense and then Dylan Harper, being maybe the best rookie guard, we've seen step into the league, maybe some guys into the playoffs.

4:16.0

You know what I mean?

4:16.8

So when you put all that together and they're able to play on a string,

4:20.6

they're able to hit their jumpers,

4:21.7

that's going to bode super well for them,
