Guys, it's Emily Jane Fox. I am here with my co-host Joe Hagen inside the hive.

Another week we did it, Joe, but I feel like maybe just barely this week.

You know I'm trying to just get through day by day and mainly grapple with

apocalyptic nightmares.

You know, ever since I read this article in the week that Matt Drudge put on the top of his headline a week ago,

the dark decade ahead by this writer Matthew Walter, who describes

he says, we are not witnessing the long-rumored revenge of nature but a way of life that is always that was always

unsustainable extinguishing itself. You know, gee that's not what I needed to get

through the night. That's a real kick in the pants. It's a kick in the pants. I feel like

You know on the one hand there are the myopic day-to-day news details that we read on Twitter and on our

Facebook feeds and the New York Times and then occasionally you pan back and

realize that we're in this sort of slow- moving tsunami of change that we can't quite get our hands around

and there's all these sci-fi visions come into my head.

You know, so I try to cling to silver linings like this recent news about, you know, coal burning way

way down and helping reverse some of the climate change that we've you know was another

nightmare scenario that we already had so you know that's how we get through day by day is with

grappling with the big picture and then with your small picture between your

four walls. How's your small picture going?

You know, it's actually not that bad.

You know, I have children, so on the one hand,

I'm running a small one-room school house it's a little bit like

little you're also wearing your daughter sweatshirt I'm gonna call you out on it I'm seeing
