along in just a second. We're coming at you for the 2024 training camp.

We had our first access on Tuesday. We had Gerard Mayo at 10 a.m., followed by Jacoby Brissette, Juan Bentley, Jonathan Jones, and David Andrews.

Tomorrow the players report, and we'll watch our first practice, which is probably just going to be kind of a shell's walk-through kind of extension of minicamp. But the news of the day, and the news going

into this week, and the news of 2024 is going to revolve around Drake May. And on Tuesday,

Gerard Mayo had two different things to say, which were of note. First on Jacoby Brissette,

and then I asked him, is there a world in which Drake May could overtake Jacobi Brissette

as a Patriot starter? Here's both of those items. Coming out of the spring, I don't think there's

any doubt. Jacoby is the starting quarterback at this point in time.

I mean, we can look at these other quarterbacks on the roster.

At the same time, like, it's going to be, it's about competition.

This goes to any position.

If he comes out here and he lights it up, and once again, it goes back to the quality of reps.

It could absolutely happen.

Like, I sit here and tell you,

like coming out of the spring, Jacoby looks like the starting quarterback. Now with that being said,

he'll have competition. There's competition. Like, let's not forget about even Joe Milton. Let's not

forget about Zappi. All those guys will have opportunities to go out there and be the starting

quarterback in week one.

All right, Phil's going to be rolling in in just a second. But when you look at it,

it's kind of a potent stance to take. And it feeds into Mayo's contention, which he reiterated

time and again, that this camp is about competition. It's about making sure the best players
